Hub： Transición Colombia

The transition movement in Colombia was born in 2016 in the Call of the Mountain (annual meeting of the Council of Sustainable Settlements CASA Colombia that began in 2006, articulated to CASA Latina and the Global Ecovillage Network). In 2017 we officialized the hub.and thanks to the seed funding granted by the Transition Network, we managed to strengthen ourselves, make face-to-face meetings, Festivals of transition in different regions, we conducted a Regenerative Communication Training in alliance with other sister organizations, in order to co-create a communications strategy that contributes to the national positioning and dissemination of local initiatives. the continental and global movement. The funds have helped us to mantain a web page, itinerant radio equipment in the initiatives and the mapping of virtual initiatives. This year new members joined the heart group and we are co-creating the action plan for this year. We articulate in different actions with other networks such as Fre Seeds Colombian Network, Water National network, Artivism Carnivals and Festivals for the Defense of the territories and the Latin Movement for the Rights of Nature. We have had challenges but we always try to find the balance between the sustainability of local initiatives and national articulation. We have also supported the beginning of the Latin Territory today known as Transition Abya Yala.
