Hållbarhetsinitiativ för Parkside

Parkside’s slogan, “Small but strong,” reflects the heart of our initiative. In a community of approximately 2,300 residents, the initiative began when the Borough Council proposed the elimination of the recycling program. In addition to preserving the recycling program, the group envisions creating a community garden in the small park known as “The Woodlot,” promoting the use of solar energy, creating education programs to help citizens live more sustainably, and promote individual gardening, permaculture, individual water reclamation, and other efforts.
