🌿 Vale das Videiras em Transição: Cuidando da vida a partir do território 🌿

O Vale das Videiras é uma encantadora biorregião localizada nas montanhas do Rio de Janeiro. Desde o início de 2021, um grupo de moradores e moradoras começou a se reunir com o desejo de cuidar do território e imaginar, juntos, novos modos de viver em harmonia com a natureza e entre nós.

Nossos encontros têm girado em torno de temas essenciais como o lixo, a saúde dos rios, a regeneração da biodiversidade, o fortalecimento da economia local e a construção de futuros desejáveis.

Nossa primeira grande ação coletiva foi o plantio de 900 árvores nativas, um gesto simbólico e concreto de regeneração. Desde então, seguimos semeando iniciativas que nutrem o território e fortalecem os laços comunitários.

Entre elas, destacam-se:

– Tempo de Plantar – um encontro anual que celebra o cuidado com a terra e a reconexão com os ciclos naturais realizando o plantio de arvores nativas todo ano, no primeiro domingo do mês de dezembro;– Cine Transição – sessões de cinema seguidas de rodas de conversa para inspirar reflexões e ações transformadoras;– Encontros inspiradores – momentos de escuta, troca e articulação de sonhos coletivos;– A articulação com redes locais como o Projeto Araras e a Associação de Moradores AMAVALE, fortalecendo a colaboração entre iniciativas.

– Colônia de férias no viveiro MUDA TUDO.

Vale das Videiras in Transition: Caring for Life from the Territory 🌿

Vale das Videiras is a beautiful bioregion nestled in the mountains of Rio de Janeiro. Since early 2021, a group of residents has been coming together with the shared intention of caring for the territory and reimagining new ways of living in harmony with nature and with each other.

Our gatherings have revolved around essential themes such as waste management, river health, biodiversity regeneration, strengthening the local economy, and building desirable futures.

Our first major collective action was the planting of 900 native trees, a symbolic and concrete gesture of regeneration. Since then, we have continued sowing initiatives that nurture the land and strengthen community bonds.

Some highlights include:

• Tempo de Plantar – an annual gathering that celebrates care for the Earth and reconnection with natural cycles by planting native trees every year on the first Sunday of December;

• Transition Cinema – film screenings followed by conversation circles to inspire reflection and transformative action;

• Inspiring Encounters – moments of deep listening, exchange, and collective dreaming;

• Articulation with local networks such as Projeto Araras and the AMAVALE Residents’ Association, strengthening collaboration between initiatives;

• Holiday camp at the MUDA TUDO nursery, engaging children and families with nature-based learning.

We remain in Transition — connected to the global movement, rooted in our bioregion, and guided by love for life.
