Біографія вашого тренера/фасилітатора
My name is Paul Odiwuor Ogola. I coordinate Transition Network Homa Bay and founded
PermoAfrica Training Centre in Kenya. Since 2016, I have worked with communities, teaching
practical permaculture through food growing, soil restoration, water management and
agroforestry.
My involvement in Transition grew after attending the Machakos training and launch in May 2026. In August 2026, I led the Homa Bay Transition training and launch with a co-facilitator and our local support team. Twenty-six people attended. Together, they formed a working group and agreed on a community action plan.
I have completed the online Transition Facilitators Training course. The course helped me
understand Transition more deeply and improve how I prepare and deliver training. I am now
using this learning as I prepare to lead the planned Oyugis training.
In my sessions, I use discussions, practical activities and reflection. I encourage participants to
recognise their skills and resources, develop a shared vision and plan realistic steps together.
My work connects Transition’s focus on community-led change with permaculture ethics and
design principles. I value local knowledge, make space for different voices and support
participants to lead their own community activities. I continue to develop my facilitation through study, feedback and collaboration with other trainers.
