These help keep people connected between activities and promote sustainable initiatives more widely, ensuring people can be as involved and active as they like both locally and further afield.

We run open access youth projects, regular walks, fireside group, craft cafe, swap shops and repair cafes as well as activities to support parents facing extra challenges e.g. SEND. We set up activities based on community needs and resources and are open to trying new things. This year we have been enjoying showing the Hope! series of films with lively discussions, For anything you may be interested in, please email us on office@sustainablechippingnorton.org or follow us on facebook.

We run and support a varied programme of activities in Chipping Norton and the surrounding area to ensure that people of all backgrounds and interests can enjoy getting involved in positive activities that influence the world around us.  All of our activities are offered free of charge to ensure that cost is never a barrier to taking part.

Our vision is to create a more connected community where all can thrive, creating bridges of communication between those who are most vulnerable and policy makers, and helping to direct resources to where they are most needed.  In West Oxfordshire we see a big differential between those who are financially affluent and those who are living in poverty, with rural isolation making it harder for many to access opportunities that are open to others.

All are welcome to join us for positive activities we run including nature and foraging walks, discussion groups, craft activities, repair cafes and swap shops and support cycling initiatives in the town.  We also run regular activities for children, teenagers and families, particularly those with additional challenges such as SEND, mental health, anxiety and autism and financial deprivation.  We connect with other groups and organisations to run community days, nature recovery projects and nature and wellbeing activities.

We are proud to be members of CAG Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire Youth and the Transition Movement, and we recognise that in order to achieve climate justice we also need to work towards social justice.
