Haliburton in Transition (HinT)

Since February 2011,we formed a steering committee and have initiated workshops and events:

conducted an all day Open Space session conducted workshops and demonstrations on heirloom seed saving, vermicomposting, mushroom culture, preserving and fermenting, wild food, season extending, composting a group seed purchasing and 2 seed exchanges, a group purchase of cold hardy fruit trees and shrubs (44 families) compiling a directory of volunteer and not for profit organizations that we can liase with on issues of transition and resilience communal hoophouse purchases and raising in conjunction with season extending practices a grain CSA has started members are doing alternative building practices
