I’m an author, artist, horticulturist, arborist, and urban forester based in Montreal Tiohtià:ke. After an academic path in art history and semiotics (PhD), I decided to pursue further education in horticulture, arboriculture (certified ISA), and forestry (graduate program). Since then, the concept of socio-ecological transition has been central to my creations, writings, teaching, and work.
I have worked in various sectors, including the City of Montreal, private landscaping companies, and community organizations. I founded Cœur d’Épinette (Spruce Heart), a project dedicated to fostering a connection with urban nature and community building through creative initiatives and workshops. Cœur d’Épinette collaborates with community organizations, municipalities, and transition initiative collectives, among others. My work is driven by a commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, creativity, and environmental justice.
