Our sub-groups include: • Repair cafés – sewing repairs & electrical/mechanical, tool & knife sharpening • Bike checks – getting your bike road-worthy & safe • Abingdon Cuts Plastic – helping businesses & schools reduce single-use plastic & packaging, twice yearly riverbank clean-ups • Home Energy – saving energy in the home with “Draught Busters” & “Cosy Homes Oxfordshire” • Abingdon Liveable Streets – works with “Walk Wheel Cycle Trust” & local councils to enable more, and safer, walking & cycling • Food Group – promoting home cooking using planet-friendly ingredients, baking cakes for the CEC, apple pressing • Bee-Friendly gardeners, maintaining the Wildflower Maze & flower-beds in Abbey Meadow play park • Edible Abingdon demonstration veg & herb beds by the kiosk on Abbey Meadow, at Old Station House and in Abbey Gardens. • Trees Group – planting trees on Rye Farm Meadow & elsewhere

We also run regular monthly speaker meetings on a variety of topics, and are about to show the People’s Emergency Briefing to an audience of over 100.

We partner with a CIC “One Planet Abingdon” which set up a “Climate Emergency Cafe” several years ago in the basement of our local museum, supported by our town council.
