Byker Mutual Aid is a grassroots community group providing mutual aid support for local residents on the Byker housing estate in Newcastle upon Tyne. Currently the group supports 50+ households though a weekly food handout, emergency shopping and small cash payments in crisis situations.
We believe in ‘Solidarity not Charity’ and encourage people to take what they need and give what they can.
