I came across Transition Town movement in 2008 while I was living in UK and introduced it to Japan. I set up Transition Japan with my colleague, Shunro Yoshida, and also began an initiative in my home town, Fujino. I took Train-the-trainer from Naresh and Sophy when they visited Japan in 2009 and have been leading numerous Transition Training in Japan. I wrote and published a book which is the first book written about Transition in Japanese by Japanese and mainly consists of  the stories of what we did in Transition Fujino over the last 10 years or so. I also did a tour around Japan and gave talks about Transition in 55 local communities.
