Community Harvest SRQ (Transition Sarasota) was founded in 2010 as part of the international Transition Towns Movement. Community Harvest SRQ continues to play an integral role in building a thriving, people-powered community, which cultivates local food and economic security through our Suncoast Gleaning Project, Fruit Rescue Program, Farmers Market Produce Recovery, Eat Local Guide, and Annual Eat Local Week.

True to our grassroots history, our work organizing educational programs, innovative projects, outreach, community action, and economic partnerships continues to consciously adapt and transform to what our community needs most.
