Santa Barbara

A small group of committed individuals came together in 2025 to take the lessons learned from a previous attempt to start a Transition Initiative in Santa Barbara back in 2008, and to start the process of re-imagining the future for our community using the frameworks and resources provided by the international community of transition initiatives. We are taking our time to evaluate the many existing groups that are already active in our community and to explore ways in which we can be a hub to bring people together to find a shared inspiration to imagine our future together.
