The Charity has the working name of SLACCtt and has worked to support KENDAL and its DISTRICT as a Transition Town, with education and projects that seek to conserve, protect and improve the natural environment, since 2010. Our activities aim to increase the local awareness of local and global issues surrounding climate change and sustainability, and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.   SLACC tt merged with Transition South Lakes in 2009 in order to more effectively work at building a resilient and fossil fuel free future for South Lakeland.
