トランジション・タウン・フロニアは、ミッドランド、ペネタンギシェン、タイニー、テイ、クリスチャン島のコミュニティを結束させ、石油依存から地域の回復力への移行を促進するため、住民に前向きで持続可能な変化を促すために活動している地元グループである。

TTHの使命は、よりレジリエントなコミュニティを創造することである：

• Providing education and expanding awareness of peak oil and climate change;
• Awakening a responsibility for food, transportation, fuel and social networks;
• Strengthening connections between local organizations, businesses and government; and,
• Fostering opportunities that engage people to work together with greater harmony and mutual respect.

トランジション・タウン・フロニアは2010年2月、6名からなる運営委員会からスタートした。今日、グループはますます力強く成長し、5万人近くが暮らすコミュニティで意識を高め続けている。
