* Our core group/TTK organising committee numbers 9 + about 20 regular volunteer fixers at our Repair Cafe + members of other subgroups, e g Energy Group, other occasional volunteers, e g community gardening and harvesting,
Our busiest regular event is our monthly Repair Cafe, with 20+ visitors bringing items to repair at every session. Other events tend to be sparsely attended by the already committed.

We tend to be opportunistic, participating in local events and taking spaces at local fairs when invited. We relate well to relevant councilors and Council officers, e g those responsible for greening businesses, climate action and energy efficiency, waste reduction...

Transition Town Kingston (TTK) is a community group helping to raise awareness of climate change and encourage the transition to a sustainable low-carbon future. We aim to build a resilient local community by: educating and campaigning about the nature and climate crises; exploring and promoting alternatives to fossil-fuels; encouraging sustainable food production and consumption; supporting practical projects such as Repair Cafe Kingston; organising events and workshops; sharing ideas, information and news…
