Transition Berkeley has a Board of Directors that manage the organization and plan projects and activities. We regularly host our own events, such as weekly crop swaps from May to October, monthly skill shares, 4 to 10 pollinator garden workdays a year, and 1 to 3 movie nights. We also participate in citywide events and co-host events with other organizations, such as the Berkeley Unified School District, Berkeley Public Library, Berkeley Parks Dept., Green the Church, Berkeley Ecology Center, East Bay Permaculture Guild, and UC Berkeley. Participation can range from a small group to hundreds of community members. Active volunteers, such as repair coaches, garden and crop swap volunteers and others range from 100-300.
Transition Berkeley was formed in 2011.
